At LevelUp English, being agile and adaptable isn’t just something we talk about—it’s who we are, both in and out of the classroom. We believe that the best learning experiences come from going with the flow, adjusting to the moment, and embracing whatever comes our way.
One of our favourite examples of this happened at the Medienkolleg Rostock. What started as a simple, low-key theatre project quickly took on a life of its own. Before we knew it, the project had transformed into a full-length live-action roleplaying improv show! Picture this: adults dressed head-to-toe in medieval gear, tossing giant dice, acting out epic scenes—all while having an absolute blast speaking entirely in English.
It was one of those spontaneous moments where everyone just clicked, and the whole thing snowballed into something far bigger than we had planned. And that’s the beauty of what we do at LevelUp. We’re always ready to adapt, to run with an idea and take it to places we never imagined.
This improv show didn’t just give students a chance to practice their English—it created a space for them to step outside their comfort zones, get creative, and fully immerse themselves in the language in a way that was fun and engaging. We didn’t plan for it to turn into a medieval adventure, but by letting the project evolve naturally, we ended up with an experience that was so much richer and more memorable than any scripted lesson.
For us, moments like these are a reminder that education isn’t just about following a rigid curriculum. It’s about being open to what’s happening in the room, understanding the energy of the students, and adapting to create something truly special. Whether we’re transforming a simple project into a medieval improv extravaganza or tweaking a lesson plan on the fly, we’re always ready to go with the flow.
At LevelUp English, we know that the best learning happens when you let go of the plan and embrace the unexpected. That’s what makes each experience unique—and it’s why we love what we do.
